Serenity Wine Label Process

I went through different ideas of how to go about illustrating the merlot leaf for the Serenity wine label.

At first I tried an option in Illustrator but it just didn’t feel like it was the way to go. Then, I went onto Photoshop and illustrated the second and third image (they are the same image but edited differently).

I finally came to the conclusion of this image on this label. I went with soothing colors like blue and green because from my research I found that soothing colors and not bright colors were what caught my eye. The friendly image and font intrigue the consumers to buy the product.

The cheap and casual wine is called “Serenity”. Cheap wine labels use humor or a fun and different approach to intrigue consumers. When researching wine branding my eye rested in the soothing colored labels instead of the brighter colors. I decided to make this soothing green and blue color palette so that consumers can think of “Serenity” when they need some calm and peace in their lives. I created a merlot leaf illustration for the image that wraps around the bottle. The wine name is written from bottom to top in a script font and gives it a personable feel.
